Pamela Anderson Married Her Bodyguard

Pamela Anderson Married Her Bodyguard

Baywatch star, Pamela Anderson married her bodyguard in a secret ceremony on Christmas Eve in her home town in Canada. The famous movie start and ex-Playboy bunny fell in love with her protector during the COVID-19 lockdown.

News of Anderson’s latest marriage – sixth time is the charm, it seems, came a day after the celebrity announced she is stepping away from social media. The Baywatch babe is now a vegan and devotes her activities towards environmentalism and spirituality.

The lucky bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst, also hails from Anderson’s hometown Ladysmith, Vancouver Island. He was originally hired as a builder on her property. Anderson is living on the east coast of Vancouver Island, since July 2019.

She took over the property from her parents and since poured more than a USD 1 million into renovating the place. Cupid’s arrow struck during this period – while Hayhurst and his daughter worked on the renovations.

“He’s a builder by trade and he was hired to be my bodyguard and we spent 24/7 together and we just kind of grew on each other,” Anderson says.

However, not everyone is happy about these developments, as Hayhurst’s ex-partner and mother of his child accuses Anderson of stealing her boyfriend.

The ceremony in which Pamela Anderson married her bodyguard seems to align with her new-found spirituality as it had the blessing of the Canadian First Nation. The couple tied the knot in a muddy field, with the sounds of the Paddle Song, a native drum song that signifies a new journey.

Celebs Involved with their Bodyguards? Nothing New

The wedding is Anderson’s fifth to four different guys. Previously the star tied the knot with rockers Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, and she wed producer Rick Solomon twice. She also seemed to marry businessman Jon Peters in January 2020 at a hotel in California, but insists the wedding not official.

The news that Pamela Anderson married her bodyguard did not come as too much a shock to people working in the celebrity protection industry. A number of stars and celebs had flings or even marriages with their protectors.

Remember the movie The Bodyguard and how Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston got really close?

Some of the most famous celebs that go romantically involved with their bodyguards include:

Roseanne Barr and Ben Thomas;

Heidy Klum and Martin Kirsten;

Princess Stephanie of Monaco and Daniel Ducruet;

Patty Hearst and Bernard Shaw;

Jennifer Lopez and Ojani Noa.

So, what do you think about celebs marrying their bodyguards? Is all fair in love and war or are there some professional lines that should not be crossed?
