Suspect Arrested After Multiple Rounds Were Fired Toward Beverly Hills Property
Police in Los Angeles have arrested a suspect after multiple gunshots were fired at the Beverly Hills home of global music star Rihanna on Sunday afternoon while the singer was reportedly inside the residence.
Authorities say a woman believed to be around 30 years old allegedly fired several rounds toward the property from inside a vehicle parked across the street. The residence is shared by Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, along with their children.
Initial reports indicate that the gunfire was directed toward the front area of the property from a vehicle positioned near the residence’s gate. While the incident caused significant alarm in the neighborhood, no injuries have been reported.
Police Respond to Gunfire Reports
According to law enforcement sources, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:21 p.m. on Sunday after reports of gunfire in the Beverly Hills area. Police radio dispatch traffic cited in media reports indicated that approximately 10 shots were fired toward the property.
Investigators believe the suspect discharged the weapon from inside a vehicle, reportedly described as a white Tesla, while parked across the street from the home. At least one round is believed to have penetrated the exterior wall of the residence, though it remains unclear where inside the structure the bullet ultimately traveled.
Authorities have not confirmed the type of firearm used, and investigators are continuing to examine ballistic evidence from the scene.
Suspect Located and Arrested in Sherman Oaks
Following the incident, law enforcement officers were able to track the suspect vehicle to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where the woman was taken into custody without incident.
Police have not yet released the identity of the suspect, and authorities say the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. Investigators are working to determine whether the attack specifically targeted the high-profile residents or if other factors were involved.
Officials have also not confirmed whether the suspect had any prior connection to the occupants of the home.
