The Importance of Finding the Top EP Schools of 2026
Executive protection is an industry where training matters. The quality of education operators receive directly affects safety, performance, and decision-making in the field. Yet with so many schools worldwide, it can be difficult to separate proven programs from pure marketing.
This project was created to bring clarity and accountability.Â
By placing the spotlight on schools recognised by the EP community itself, we want to help young professionals make informed training decisions based on real industry input and experience.
At its core, this initiative is about raising standards.
When the community leads, credible training is rewarded, expectations are set, and the entire profession moves forward.
The Criteria
To maintain the integrity of this initiative, all EP schools considered have to meet a clear set of professional criteria. These benchmarks reflect what the executive protection community values most: legitimacy, operational relevance, and training quality.
Core eligibility criteria include:
- Operating their own dedicated training venues
- Offering globally accessible or internationally delivered training
- Providing recognised certification upon course completion
Additional evaluation considerations include:
- Instruction led by experienced professionals with verified operational backgrounds
- Curricula aligned with current executive protection threats and realities
- Emphasis on practical, scenario-based training
- Appropriate student-to-instructor ratios
- Clearly defined safety standards and training protocols
- Evidence of ongoing curriculum updates and professional development
These criteria help ensure that the schools highlighted through this project represent genuine value to the industry and contribute to raising standards across executive protection training.
Submit Your School Today
Submissions are now open to all. Executive protection schools that meet the outlined criteria are invited to put themselves forward for consideration in this year’s project. This is an opportunity to be recognised by the industry, contribute to raising professional standards, and take part in a community-led initiative that values credibility over promotion.
To submit a school, send the relevant details to contact@epwired.com.Â
Submissions will be accepted until February 16th.Â
Once the submission period closes, the next phase of the process will move into the hands of the executive protection community.
If a school belongs on the industry’s radar, this is the time to let everyone know.
